2012-2013
This is the first day in Washington DC, precisely at the
Hilton Hotel. The groups are devided into some rooms. It has been a nice opening of being a world
citizen by staying with a new friend. Her name is Jennifer. It was a great
orientation held by YouthExchange and Study. The students from some countries
have been grouped in to each sponsors such us PAX, Word Link, AFS USA, etc. In
each grouped, the students learn about how to adapt with new environment,
knowing more about the characteristic of American. Nonetheles, the students
also learn about deepening the culture we’ve brought from the home country. I
think the orientation is very helpfull for me because it makes me used to speak
in English, listen in English, and open with new people. The best thing is
share my big and warm smile to others.
